We finally have some progress on the cream pot.  It has had bits of soaked paper stuck onto and is now residing upside down on a bottle of salad dressing food tray  I'm not sure whether the significance is that it is ranch dressing or the shape and size of the bottle.  I suspect the latter.  The strips of paper were soaked in watered down PVA glue before being attached to the pot.  This seemed to be a soggy, sticky enterprise so I beat a hasty retreat to my basket to watch from a safe distance.  I believe the next phase is to do nothing until it is all dry.
