Twisted Hairband in Chunky Yarn

This free knitting pattern for a twisted hairband made from chunky yarn.  This hair band is currently sized to fit an average lady (48 cm or 19 inches in length).  However for the perfect fit measure the circumference of the head before starting and adjust the length accordingly.

Requirements:


1 pair of 5.0mm Needles
1 x Cable Needle
1 x 25g Aran Weight Yarn

C4B
    Cable 4 back.  (Slip next 4 stitches onto cable needle and drop at back of work, knit next 4 stitches then pick up and knit stitches from the cable needle)
     

To make:
Using 5.0mm needles,  cast on 8 stitches
Starting with a knit row, work 7 rows in stocking stitch

** Next row:  C4B;  Then starting with purl row work 8 rows in stocking stitch**


Repeat the ** pattern **, until work measures 48cm (19 inches) long for the full length headband.
Cast off in stocking stitch.

To make Up:

Stitch the short ends of the hairband together.   Sew in any loose ends.
