This evenings crafting has been somewhat curtailed due to an infrequent event.  Any sane person would tackle this with the aid of a full squad of navy frogmen in full wetsuits without the flippers.  But no, Mum decides to tackle it with nothing but two towels and a bit of Aunty Biscuits sheep leg wire.  Yes, you've guessed it, the collie has been getting bathed, much to her disgust.  The sheep leg wire incidentally was used to secure something or other on the shower over the bath and at no point was used on or near collie,  Two bottles of shampoo later there was a marginal improvement in the state of the collie and a marked deterioration in the state of the bath and Mum.  It is beyond comprehension how somebody could spend so much time enjoying themselves rolling or lying in very muddy puddles but sulk so magnificently when presented with warm clean water.  On exiting the bath she was captured by a towel and given a good rub down. Her majesty then gave a good shake after which she resembled a powder puff.  Exit collie stage left.  Mum cleaned the bath, recaptured the dog then finished her off with a hairdryer.  As a spectator sport this marvelous! The collie is now sulking on her bed and Mum seems a trifle damp.
