Grey pony needs a bath!  We were trying to work out how mum was going to get him home, into the bath, how big a towel he would need and how much we could charge for tickets.  So we were slightly disappointed to learn that horses are bathed differently to us dogs but are still not always co-operative.  Cleaning utensils of choice for pony bathing are as follows: a hose pipe, a soft brush and a bottle of shampoo.  The goodwill of the equine element is also crucial, so a bag of carrots never goes a miss, otherwise it is not just the horse that gets wet. (I can identify with this means of being cleaned as I needed hosepiping once after I had rolled in something green, wriggling and stinky).  As this will be the first time he has had a full clean since mum has had him we await the results with interest and one eye on the weather forecast as the smart money is on mum getting soaked.
