Weekend roundup

Nov 01 2020

Mum has been painting the front door on the inside.  She had hoped that two coats would be sufficient but it looks like it will need three.  As it is some strange kind of special paint, a new pot will need to be ordered before it can be completed.  Aunty Biscuit meanwhile has sliced her finger open so can’t do any knitting due to plaster placement which is a little disappointing as she is nearly ready to start some shaping.  We have a woodpecker dangling from the multifood feeder.  A quick check reveals it is a male greater spotted one.  As he has been on there a while we did wonder if he was a stuffed or knitted one but was proved to be alive when he moved from the peanuts to the fat balls. Harrier and I seem to have gone very rapidly from admiring autumn colour on our walks to admiring the silhouettes of the bare trees against the dusk, some of them with the moon filtering through the branches.  I presume this is one of the consequences of the clocks altering.  The high winds have brought nearly all of the leaves off the trees so we can snuffle to our hearts content through the full carpet of them.
