Harrier's Hobby and Harrier's Challenge 1

Sep 08 2020

Harrier here.  Have stolen a few seconds on the key board while Marty is out rolling.  I just wanted to update you on a new development here.  It appears that humans have bought a new camera although I was unsure whether they really understand how it works, so I decided to help.  How hard can it be....   First I tried sniffing it but it didn't seem at all interesting, then I slept on it but have to report it does not make a good pillow.  It does not make any interesting noises if pushed around the floor but poking at it with a paw produced some interesting results.  Watching mum this new thing usually has its own legs and swings around which was fun but combine the two and you can get interesting noises and flashes of light.  Cool or the what!

 Harriers Hobby

This lead me to a brilliant idea.  This blog is totally unbalanced and fully of girlie stuff.  It really needs a mans touch to improve it so I have thrown down the gauntlet (or dog bone).  Once a week, I intent to upload one of my favourite photographs and challenge Aunty Biscuit and Marty will have to generate an interesting blog based on it.  Anyone else is also welcome to join in, just add a comment.

Here is the Harrier's Challenge 1:

lesley Taylor  Having accepted Harriers photographic challenge, I am now sharing my musings on wood. I suspect that it may have been used in the art world for thousands of years, I can imagine that early cave drawings were done with a charred bit of stick from the fire. Nowadays Whittlers whittle it, wood turners turn it, basket weavers weave it, Aunty Biscuit paints and pyrographies it, clearly Harrier photographs it and that is just for starters. Mum has an amazing coffee table that someone made her which has a beautiful grain on it, I’m sure if Harrier was a bit taller he would be able to take a photo of that!
