What is it with humans and salad? They eat it?? Hello. Its not even worth looking at never mind looking hopeful of being given some to eat (but never outright begging).  I suppose some of the things in it could potentially be used by crafters to make dye, but you would need more than a plate full to do that.  I suppose if the shell was left on the egg you could decorate it, possibly not quite to the standard of Faberge though I suspect.  Language skills development by the addition of a crouton?   And I suppose they are quite colourful.  On balance they may have more going for them than first supposed but I'd rather have my normal tea.
