We haven't told Mum she can do us or own rug yet, but we are thinking of potential ideas for the design of it.  Colours would ideally need to be practical although I personally would rather like a pale pink background - very feminine, whereas Harrier would prefer a nice blue.  The collie would like a tennis ball design on the rug, Harrier a bone design and myself little bows.  I'm not sure we can combine all these and some compromises may be necessary.  I'm optimistic that mum will soon be able to knock up a pale pink rug with a blue border decorated with bows quite easily.
