Scallops

Jul 16 2015

I’ve been watching TV with Aunty Biscuit whilst she untangled a ball of yarn (she often ends up with her yarns in a tangle) and Harrier who has been doing a bit of what I believe is called “manscaping”.  An advert came on for a frozen food company which confused me completely.  They had black tiger prawns that were clearly pink and wild caught scallops.  They looked like very round pieces of chicken to me so I didn’t think would take much catching but Aunty Biscuit says that they live in the sea and have a shell and she thought they possibly could move quite fast but wasn’t entirely sure.  Being somewhat sceptical I checked it out on woofapedia and it turns out they move fast but erratically.  I think I’ll give playing chase with them a miss, especially as I may need to get wet to catch one. I supposed that the shell must be a particular shape as I have heard of wavy edgings being referred to as a scallop edging.  Aunty Biscuit confirmed this to be the case.
