Technodog

Jul 14 2015

I’ve recently been supervising attempts to drag Aunty Biscuit into the modern world of gadgets.   Left to her own devices she’d be daubing the walls of her cave with pictures of woolly mammoths with a charcoal stick from a fire or standing on the top of a hill with a pair of flags communicating in semaphore (they learnt things like that when she was in the girl guides).

I admit that she can already find the on/off switch to an ordinary computer and take photos/make phone calls on her mobile phone on the odd occasion that she remembers to charge it up but that is the only evidence I have seen of her technology use.  I am now pleased to announce that due to my hard work and direction she can now also send photos of me to mum from it.  I myself am a high tech dog.  I have been observed on more than one occasion selecting the temperature button on a heated throw and upping it.   Should I require attention whilst up at the stables I can also work the car horn, although mum is never very happy about this.

There are a large number of gadgets that crafters can use in their hobbies and computers are playing an increasingly large part in this, from design through to downloading free knitting patterns.  Mum and Aunty Biscuit sometimes use a pencil and special graph paper to work on designs and then transfer that onto the computer.  Perhaps Aunty Biscuit is slightly more au fait with computers than I thought.  Must dash as I think I should teach her how to order a consignment of my favourite dog food from the internet.

mmmm
