Delivered at last!

Jun 20 2015

Eureka!  I am now in possession of my brand new blankie.  Thanks to mum stitching it into a large hexagon rather than rows, it has got slightly more hexagons than Aunty Biscuit bargained for (37) but considerably less than my original specification, (which would have worked out at approximately 177600).  She also persuaded her that it needed a border around the edge “to finish it off.  I had hoped that it would be about 10 feet wide but sadly it’s not.  Despite all this I’m really pleased with it and am now trying to persuade Aunty Biscuit to write the pattern up so that should your owner wish to make you one they can.

Blankie

You can have any size you wish due to the modular design but I should warn you that for one the size of a football pitch you will need roughly 44,400 balls of wool for the coloured bits, 1,110 balls of the chocolate individual hexagon edging plus several or the border colour balls. If they really loved you they wouldn’t mind paying out roughly £65,000 for the wool, but probably will be a little reluctant to sew ends in and stitch it all together.
