Squared Jumper

Apr 30 2015

It has been another unseasonably chilly start this morning.  Mum took us on our walk wearing her very colourful squared jumper.  Its made in chunky yarn.  She has promised us she will eventually put the pattern on the web site, I’m not holding my breath over it being up shortly, but I will keep you informed.  Aunty biscuit has a similar one with bigger squares –there is a lot more of her to cover- and a different colour scheme.  She says there are two big advantages to it, 1) you can use up loads of part balls from your stash & 2) you only need to use a small amount of a favourite yarn.

Knitting Stash

Sounds like a bonkers contradiction to me, I think what she means is the ones that are self patterning.  In fairness to aunty biscuit she has leant both myself and Harrier her jumper on occasion as an emergency blanket and I can vouch that it is lovely and snug. On one occasion I was outraged as she even took it with her when she went home, its amazing how immobile I can be if I need to.

Anyway, back to this mornings walk, what I didn’t quite understand is that she was all wrapped up in her jumper etc and had a pair of crocs on her feet.  I think she should knit a pair of squared socks to match the jumper, aunty biscuit would certainly  be daft enough to give it a go.

Nicola Preston  Anyone think that squared jumpers for dogs could be a good step forward?

lesley Taylor  As an update, Harrier has agreed to model the jumper when its finished, as long as the colour scheme suits his rugged good looks.
