Caterpillar Scarf for a Tiny Tears or similar sized 16" Doll


Here you will find a free knitting pattern for a caterpillar scarf for tiny tears or an equivalent sized 16" doll.  The caterpillar scarf is simple to make using simple shaping.  The scarf and uses double knitting yarn and 4 mm needles.  Basic features can be embroidered onto the caterpillar as required.

Requirements:

25g Double Knitting yarn (Caterpillar Coloured)

1 pair of 4.0 mm knitting needles.
Needle for sewing up.

Small amount of black yarn for features

Small amount of polyester wadding for head    

Tension:
Tension 22sts or 28 rows to 10 cm, using stocking stitch on 4.0 mm needles

Cast off.

To make up:

Sew in all loose ends and secure.  With right side facing, bend the head over on itself at row 15 and stitch the side seams together.  Turn the head the right side out and embroider on features.  Stuff the head lightly and sew up the remaining seam across the neck.
