iPhone Handbag


This is a free knitting pattern for an iPhone Handbag.  How often have you been out and been without a pocket to carry your phone.  This free knitting pattern is the answer a little bag especially designed for the iPhone.  It measures 10cm long and 6.5cm wide.  Can fit a standard iPhone in with or without protective case as appropriate.  The bag does have a little extra space within it, should you wish to carry a key or some loose change but care would have to be taken not to damage or scratch the phone as this free knitting pattern does not contain any internal divisions to protect the phone.

 

Requirements:
1 x 50g Cotton DK Yarn
1 x 4mm Knitting Needles
1 x 2mm Crochet Hook


Pattern:
Print

Bag (Make 1)
Using 4mm needles cast on 32 stitches and commence pattern as follows
Row 1: Knit to end
Row 2: Purl to end
Row 3: Knit to end
Row 4: Knit to end
These 4 rows form the pattern repeat then a further 12 times, then repeat rows 1 and 2 again.
Cast Off in knit.

Handles (Make 4)
Using double thickness thread, and the 2mm crochet hook, crochet 20 chains and fasten off securely.

To make Up:
Fold the bag sew that the cast on and cast off edges are at the top. Sew up the sides of the bag. Securely attach two handles to each side of the bag.  It is recommended that these handles are sewn individually to the body of the bag to provide additional support and protection to the phone should a handle become loose or damaged.  Please check the condition of the bag regularly when in use.
