Rosie Dog Coat

This free knitting pattern is for a dog coat.  The coat has been created to fit a toy dog of about 36 cm (14 inches) in length.  The coat is knitted in stocking stitch with double knitting yarn and has contrasting edging and tummy strap knitted in moss stitch.

This free knitting pattern makes perfect car or house coat for keeping your four footed friends warm on those cold winter days.  Care must be taken if using the coat outside as it is not water resistant.  Animals should not be left unattended when wearing coats and any fasteners should be easy release.

Rosie says:- “This woolly coat is perfect for lounging on the carpet when your pet human won’t put the central heating on or when your expected to travel in a car that hasn’t been pre-warmed for you.  Make sure they knit it for you in a colour that suits you.  If you’re not sure of the colour you can always follow my example by extracting the ball of wool from the knitting box and spreading it across the lounge and down the hall to check it first.  Don’t go out in the rain or snow in the coat though as it will make you damp.”
