1 x 5.0mm Knitting Needles
2 x Large buttons
Polyester Cushion Filling

Using 5.0mm Needles, there are 18 sts or 24 rows to 10cm (4 inches).

To make Cushion (1 piece):
Using 5.0mm needles cast on 72 stitches.
Work in stocking stitch until work measures 20cm (16 inches) ending with a purl row.
Cast off in knit.

To Make Up:
With right sides facing, pull the edges of the cushion in to the center and pin in place.  Using blanket stitch and a complementary colour  sew up the edges of the cushion using even stitches on the right side of the cushion, leaving a small hole to insert the stuffing.  Stuff the cushion with polyester filling, taking care not to overfill the cushion and stretch the knitting.  Using the remaining yarn, blanket stitch the hole in the seam closed to complete the cushion.
