Some of this years potatoes have been harvested.  Expectations were low from a couple of leftovers that were planted into a supermarket strong bag but they produced a good crop.  Potatoes can be used in craft for making potato prints.  Apparently, you cut the potato in half, carve a pattern in it then put paint over the pattern and stamp it onto paper.  It all sounds very messy to me.  According to Aunty V you can grow roses in potatoes.  This warrants further investigation as I am not sure whether she is being serious or not.
